JENNIFER GIDLEY is an Educational Psychologist and Futures Researcher. She has many years experience in psychology and education having worked as a Psychologist, Teacher and Consultant in all educational levels and sectors.  She also founded and developed a Rudolf Steiner school in rural Australia over ten years.  She is currently working as a school Psychologist, and also consults through her private consultancy, Spirit of the Times International Education Initiatives.  She also Lectures in Social Sciences at Southern Cross University, PO Box 157, Lismore, 2480, NSW, Australia. 

 

Her main research interests are educational transformation, holistic education, imagination and consciousness development, cultural renewal and youth visions of the future for empowerment.  She has researched and published widely in the youth futures and educational futures fields, most recently co-editing the book The University in Transformation:  Global Perspectives on the Futures of the University (Bergin and Garvey, 2000).  Email: jgidley@scu.edu.au
