Dr. Sohail Inayatullah is a globally recognized futurist and political scientist whose work has profoundly shaped the field of futures studies. Known for developing Causal Layered Analysis (CLA), he helps organizations and societies question dominant assumptions and design alternative and preferred futures.

Biography

Sohail Inayatullah, a political scientist, and futurist, is the UNESCO Chair in Futures Studies at the Sejahtera Centre for Sustainability, and Humanity, IIUM, Malaysia. He is also a Professor at Tamkang University, Tamsui, and an Associate at Melbourne Business School, The University of Melbourne. He teaches through the online Metafuture School, where his courses include Become a Futurist, and Personal Futures: The CLA of the Self. Notably, he is listed in the top two percent of the world’s scientists as measured by the highest impact of citations. He is the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Futures Studies and serves on the editorial boards of numerous other journals in the field. He has authored over 400 book chapters, refereed journal articles, and essays.
