Sohail Inayatullah

Sohail Inayatullah is a political scientist and futurist, and is the UNESCO Chair in Futures Studies at the Sejahtera Centre for Sustainability and Humanity, IIUM, Malaysia.

He is also a Professor at Tamkang University, Tamsui, and an Associate at Melbourne Business School, The University of Melbourne. He teaches through the online Metafuture School, where his courses include Become a Futurist, and Personal Futures: The CLA of the Self.

Notably, he is listed in the top two percent of the world’s scientists as measured by the highest impact of citations. He is the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Futures Studies and serves on the editorial boards of numerous other journals in the field. He has authored over 400 book chapters, refereed journal articles, and essays.

Ralph Mercer

Ralph Mercer is a futurist and philosopher who explores the entangled relationships between humans, technology, and society. His work is grounded in Causal Layered Analysis (CLA), Alternative Ontologies, and the evolving rhythms of technological change, focusing on how emerging systems shape possible futures, identity, and agency. He is the Managing Editor of World Futures Review and an Adjunct Fellow at the University of the Sunshine Coast (UniSC). In his spare time, he can be found guest editing various academic publications, where he brings a perspective shaped by neurodivergent curiosity and his commitment to a plant-based lifestyle. Ivana Milojević

Dr. Ivana Milojević is a social scientist and futurist, the Director of Metafuture and Metafuture School.

She previously held academic positions in Australia at the University of Queensland where she was also awarded her PhD in Education – and the University of the Sunshine Coast; in Serbia, at the Centre for Interdisciplinary, and Multidisciplinary Studies, University of Novi Sad; in Taiwan, at the Graduate Institute of Futures Studies, Tamkang University; and in the UK, at the University of Edinburgh.

She was also a Senior Futures Thinking and Foresight Specialist at the Asian Development Bank and a Senior Researcher/Head of the Brunei Futures Initiative at the Centre for Strategic and Policy Studies, Brunei Darussalam. She is the author of fifteen books and over eighty academic book chapters, refereed journal articles, and essays.
